Figlmüller

Bäckerstraße 8, 1010 Wien, Austria

Probably the most popular restaurant in Austria, Figlmüller is considered to be the home of the Viennese schnitzel. Envisioned in 1905 by Johann Figlmüller, it was first a wine tavern near Saint Stephen’s Cathedral before it became a restaurant. If you are ever in Vienna, make sure to order their schnitzels that measure about 30 centimeters in diameter to eat like a true Austrian.
