The Central School, formerly known as The Central School for Girls, was built in 1851 to educate the girls of the most important politicians in Bucharest at that time. Now one of the most popular high schools in Bucharest, the building is considered an architectural masterpiece being the work of the famous Romanian architect, Ion Mincu.
