The cemetery hosts over 300 monuments attested by UNESCO, each with its unique architectural style and influences. There are more monuments, crypts and chapels here than in the entire city.

Fun quest through the cemetery

The most popular monuments along with their occupant’s hidden stories are now available in a quest created by locals, with help from museum’s own guides.

Follow the clues in the quest and will discover the weirdest and most unexpected deaths of well-known Romanians, as well as borderline dark jokes approved by locals and frequent visitors of the museum.

The quest starts at the main entrance of the cemetery (near Eroii Revolutiei metro station) and it takes about an hour and a half to complete.
