Questo is offering 90% off its gamified city tours at night

Posted on Aug 14, 2019 by Sebastian Maraloiu

Questo, the mobile city exploration game, is offering a 90% discount on all its exploration games after 7 pm in Paris, Rome, Florence, and Berlin. The decision came as a response to the heatwave in Europe with temperatures reaching over 45 degrees Celsius affecting the vacations of most tourists.

Questo helps tourists explore cities by solving clues to discover new places and stories about them. Each route (quest) is based on a specific theme, which can be inspired by a movie, a book, a historical fact or just a local legend. In London, for instance, travelers can explore the city as Sherlock Holmes or Isaac Newton, while in Paris they can play as Hemingway or Picasso. Questo is currently present in 40 European cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome or Berlin.

To take up on the offer, tourists must visit Questo’s website after 19:00 and purchase a quest. The promotion will last until the end of summer, on September 1st.

City tour at night in Rome, Florence, Berlin, Vienna, Budapest, Bucharest - Questo

“July was the hottest month ever recorded in human history and this can ruin one’s vacation. Tourists are now forced to stay mostly indoors during the day and miss out on a lot of activities and tours that happen during the hottest hours. Because with Questo tourists can explore cities at any time – even at night – we wanted to massively discount our regular prices and help travelers salvage their vacations.’’ said Alex Govoreanu, CEO and Co-founder of Questo.

So far, more than 45.000 people finished a quest while walking more than 120.000 kilometers to discover popular and hidden locations, as well as local stories using Questo. As of today, the app has over 100 available quests created by a growing network of local content creators. They can be purchased in the Questo iOS and Android apps, on TripAdvisor, on GetYourGuide, and on Booking.com, for prices ranging from 8 to 30 Euro.

Questo is also a previous winner of the Booking.com Booster Lab 2018 in Tel Aviv and winner of the People’ Choice Award at Phocuswright Europe 2019, one of the top online travel and technology events for top travel executives.
